Lovely dark cherry monster. Needs lots of air. 15% ABV, but balancing acid. Could be amazing with some bottle age.

Delicious pasta wine. Cherry red fruit, grippy tannins, nice acid, bring on the rigatoni.

70% Sangiovese / 15% Sagrantino /15% Merlot from vines at least 49 years old.
24 months total aging with at least 12 in large neutral oak cask and at least 4-6 months in bottle.
Excellent value and true character of this southern Tuscan region.

Young and vibrant nose with notes of vanilla, currants, pomegranate and a whiff of violets. The vanilla and currants pull through on the palate with some coffee and underbrush lingering in the backdrop. The finish has some good heft and medium-heavy tannins - so this one can go at least another 8-10 without a problem (2023-2025).

Great food wine. Not so complex as Bea, but juicy and well put together, with modest tannin.

Terrific producer. The 12 is very young, powerful, just about approachable, another good Antano bottle.
