Mencia pop n pour for a Sunday. Delicious purple fruit and slight herbaceousness.

Great entry level Mencia from Raul Perez. Medium bodied, crunchy, earthy, peppery.
Opened up nicely over hours.

Bright, some wafting black pepper spice, purple fruit, bubble gum, smoke. Some granite. Very gentle and pleasing on the palate. Good juiciness and acidity.

This mencia has personality! Blackberry, boysenberry, violets, loamy earth, touch of stemmy greenness. Slightly rustic but it all comes tog harmoniously - really like this wine

Sort of exactly what I wanted right now. Kinda farm funky, totally spicy and black fruited with notes of smoked meat, paprika, burnt rosemary. Really soft on the palate with pure fruit and nice acidity on a long finish. Yum.

Popped and poured. Wet asphalt, dark cherry and purple flowers on the nose. Ripe bramble fruit, fine tannins, great acid. Long. Unbelievably fresh! Delicious on its own but even better with a meal. Out of this world QPR. Pérez truly is a wizard.

Bright red cherry, raspberry, gravel, leather / dense, savory black fruit on the palate, layers of fruit and herbs / vibrant acidity and great structure. Killer

Heady nose of blackberries, jammy purple fruit, brambly and peppery aromas, and then surprisingly lifted on the palate. Sappy with a uniquely Spanish garrigue quality. Refined in its structure and reminiscent of cru Beaujolais in the realm of brouilly or moulin a vent... but at 15 years ago prices. Such a generous wine! Plenty of freshness, spice and raw pleasure to spare.
