Inky in color with a short purplish rim.

On the nose plums, black currants, blackberries, cedar, licorice, light alcohol, vanilla, light earth, chocolates, espresso, wildflowers, violets, tobacco and peppercorn.

Full bodied and smooth with medium acidity and long legs.

Dry on the palate with blackberries, black plums, cherries, cedar, licorice, spices, peppercorn, coke, black olives, coffee, chocolates, tobacco and beef jerky.

Medium plus on the finish with fine grained tannins and tangy raspberries.

This is a beautiful red blend from Washington State. Nicely balanced and good by itself, as a sipping wine. Showing nice complexity with a nice mouthfeel.

This 4 year old is still young and will age nicely in the next 5 to 10 years, but already delicious.

Showing a really interesting nose. Tasty, rich and elegant.

Better after a couple of hours of airtime, but good right out of the bottle, too.

A blend of 58% Cabernet Sauvignon, 30% Syrah and 12% Petit Verdot. Aged for 30 months in (80% new) French oak barrels.

14.9% alcohol by volume.

92 points.

A wonderful tasting put on by Classic Wine Storage featuring Long Shadows Winery. If you aren’t familiar with these wines, they are phenomenal WA state wines that are made by the likes of Randy Dunn, Phillipe Melka, Michel Rolland, John DuVall, and more.

Approachable red blend. To me, this is the pop and pour wine out of the lineup. Very plush. This reminds me of Flora Springs Trilogy Blend out of Napa with a bit more fruit on the finish. More milk chocolate than dark. Boysenberry, blue and black fruit medley.

Pulled from cellar. One of the first years for the Long Shadows project. This bad boy has a big nose. Musty. Dirt floor. Flavors are currants, spice, front of palette finish. Hints of mint. Nutmeg.

On the note, sweet, candies, dark currants, black licorice and dark fresh florals. The body and fruit is sexy...stunning. Rich, ripe; blackberries, black plum, dark cherries, cherries, strawberries. Soft, elegant mineral & earth, crushed rocks, licorice, cola, beautiful round acidity and a stunning, round, elegant, rich long finish that goes on and on. Beautiful wine. Photos of; a fall look of estate and grounds, barrel tasting with Gilles their Director of Winemaking & Viticulture and a painting that hangs in the tasting room.

This is a delicious red blend from Washington State. Showing blackberries, coffee, chocolates, vanilla, cedar, earth, light vegetables, licorice, spices and tobacco leaf.

Full bodied with medium acidity. Dry on the palate and very fruity.

Nicely balanced with a great mouthfeel and nice complexity.

Good right out of the bottle and better with airtime. After 90 minutes of airtime, tannins comes out.

Tangy and rich. Spicy and interesting.

Feels like a mix of Bordeaux and a Napa blend. Very interesting and tasty.

Would age nicely in the next 5 to 7 years.

Probably a little less amazeballs than the 2009 that Obama served the French president when he visited the white house, but still fantastic! A rustic sage and anise note are quite interesting as it lingers long after you swallow. Otherwise, the cherry and cola notes from the cab play off the juicy strawberry and leathery/fleshy notes of the Syrah. Damn this is good!

Outstanding. Benefiting from age but still plenty of life ahead.

2006 vintage is overlooked. This is a stunning wine from 2006. Very balanced fruit and acidity and texture blended. Could be young by any measure. Find it. Drink it.
