A cheap red wine at a restaurant in Wimbledon, a beautiful area of London. The tennis facilities look awesome from the outside. Our 4th wine from this region recently and this came in second at 90.5. Sometimes struggle with a correct match of the wine & not seeing the bottler listed on the bottle. 👃 Toasted brioche covered in fresh cut green apple compote & citrus zest w/ light honey caramel hints

👄 Refreshing med bodied fine bubbled persistent mouse of zingy sour green apple, lemon curd & sweet shortbread biscuit all nicely balanced 👍

Very nice wine did not decant but opened and hour before drinking,matured in bottle when pouring the second glass; guess I should have decanted after all. Certainly want more, thank you Mike & Gill Thompson for bringing this from wimbledon wine cellar. Soft but strong fruit, blackberry, lovely. — 3 years ago

Staying at “The Shed” in Wimbledon for a week and ate in tonight with this wine. About 23# at Costco. Will be visiting the Banfi property on August 31, 2019 for a tasting, dinner and overnight stay. Nice wine but certainly not their best. — 5 years ago
