Carneros Chardonnay 2022

Pale lemon color with aromas of ripe fruits, citrus, toasty vanilla and baking spice scents. On the palate complex flavors of apple, peach & lemon citrus, well balanced with acidity on nice mouthfeel. Long finish ending with toasty mineral and spice notes, will continue to age well. A Great Chardonnay. Pair this with a Halibut drizzled with a Beurre Blanc sauce. — 4 days ago

Xisto Ilimitado Douro Branco 2021

This is delicious. Kind of like a Portuguese take on Loire Chenin blanc. I know I shouldn’t necessarily compare other regions to some French benchmark but that’s just where my mind goes — 2 months ago

Xisto Ilimitado Douro Red Blend 2020

This wine deserves a lot more credit than I’ve afforded it in the past. Seabra is doing great things, and this is a wholly original Douro offering. Burgundian? — 17 days ago

Susucaru Rosato Malvasia Blend 2021

Good, yet not very ‘special’.
Paired it with Ottolenghi’s Orzo Puttanesca.

Vintage Porto Port Blend 1940

Oceanic. Some smoke. Raisin and caramel. More like Madeira! Astounding length. Salty, biting. With almost a peppery bite on the finish. Tongue salivating. Perspiring. This heats up the body. Palate is perfect. Nose falls down a little- but this was from open bottle in enomatic so may not be the wine’s fault. — 2 months ago

@Peter Sultan almost! Wine shop in Lisbon had it in their enomatic machine. Couldn’t resist; it was 40 euros for a small taste.
