It starts with red fruits, wet rocks, and subtle saline mist on the nose. Then, there’s fresh cherries with smoke and white pepper, associated with mild salty minerals. It ends with a long, almost umami finish. NICE. — 4 years ago
A really funky nose that left you wondering what was in the bottle. And then, like a mist that lifts from the river - the tastes and nose showed up. A Phillipe Melka version of Washington’s best grapes. Power Bordeaux blend with Syrah added in. Soft tannins and subtle fruit kept flowing in and out. Wonderful comparison to an 06 Oakville Cab. — 4 years ago

A dark garnet red wine. Balanced with dark ripe black plum and the a finish of sea mist and pepper. The Piedirosso grape delivers a wine full of life and down to earth. Open and drink this wine to remove all of your worries and focus on the important things in life….your family and wine. Excellent when paired with juicy rib eye, spinach and mushrooms. — a year ago

Vincent Dauvissat “Les Clos” 2014- A stunner. Power, intensity and an electric and tense palate that is clearly built to age. Shows an intense seashell minerality, sea spray salinity, rock moss and stone fruit. Exceptionally long and concentrated finish that coats the palate with its seashell and ocean mist persistence. — 2 years ago
Looks like peach nectar, with the lightest, looping bubbles in a loose bunch atop, becomes a petri sample of fruit fungus, then all clear to firework lacing and morning mist. Big wood notes, though not as toasty in parts, cigar box, funky softwood of dead forest fall, ripe for mushrooms. Lovely dried lemon peel, orange peel, and dried apricot in cigar boxes, live pineapple and pencil shavings in a clean attic. On the palate, yellow cherry, funky sour pineapple, lime-cedar, lemongrass, savory, dried okra, a drop of orange bitters, nose filling blood orange, and lemon oil for the duration. Fantastic nuances, amazing balance, woody depth. Just fine craftsmanship here, from the old school. — 5 years ago
