Caves Coopératives de Donnas

Donnas 2011

a barolo in a bear suit....a solitary hibernator, hard soil under pine needles on the forest floor, almost snow-scented. awakens slowly, but when it does it’s fierce. — 19 hours ago

Interplanetary Traveler Gamay Blend

Honestly, so good. It’s like a party in your mouth. I like that it’s kinda sour but smooth and refreshing at the same time. — 3 days ago

The Maitre D Cabernet Sauvignon 2017

So... I drew blood opening this bottle. Maybe my fault. So I'm not optimistic...

Valle d'Aosta Petite Arvine Fleur 2016

2016. This wine opened up quickly and filled the glass with floral (elderflower, honeysuckle...) and tart kumquat/orange aromas. Great flavor with nice minerality, too. — 2 days ago

Vinícola 3 Mujeres

La Mezcla del Rancho Red Blend 2015

Alder Yarrow

A remarkable wine. Gorgeously velvety, cherry and cedar and herbs with great acidity. Tastes older than it is. Lovely. — 7 days ago

Vallée d'Aoste Muscat Petit Grain

A very interesting dry muscat that has an extremely floral nose and palate. So much so I would drink it without food. But paired at Del Plato with Vitello tonnato (veal and tuna in a lemon basil & colatura vinaigrette) it totally changed!!! And was an amazing pairing! — 11 days ago

Nathan Morgex et de la Salle Prié Blanc 2016

Perlita Valle De Uco Malbec Syrah 2016

Dark purple core and a bright purple rim. Love the dark fruit and cocoa. Fleshy and shortish make it fun. Not terribly complex but caught some leather too. Crowd pleaser and a great value. Can see wide appeal to people who like Malbec (obviously it’s the dominant grape at 80%), cabs, and Syrah (20%). Rotation-worthy. — 6 hours ago
