This wine has a lovely, golden hue, like a room bathed in the glow from a fireplace. On the nose, candied apricots and a hint of lemon peel lead the way. Honey traces portend sweetness. The palate has a special delivery for a sweet tooth. Apples, peaches and pears mingle in a viscous, mouth coating orgy of fruit. There is a good level of acidity, too, in case you're not having it just for dessert. A Brie would go nicely, or a triple cream cheese. — 6 years ago

Fun fact (for me anyway): Rombauer makes Sauvignon Blanc under screw cap and it’s good. I’ve been drowning in a wave of SB recently (spoiler alert I’m writing an article) and this shiznit stands up. A very ripe orgy of citrus congregates on the wet river stone nose. Gooseberry crashes the party on the tongue as one does along with a whisper of green apple Jolly Rancher, but in a good way. It’s quite light and gauzy but that gauze has a bit of grip and texture—I’m guessing a small percentage of used barrel showing it’s face? Any which way I like this. — a year ago

Even in the hedonistic Dionysian wine orgy that was @Eric LaMasters living room on a rainy Saturday in West Des Moines this T6 from @Shawn R shined bright and cut through the crowd. Very full bodied with velvety espresso covered purple fruit. Showing some tertiary flavors now—spice box, smoked meat with tasty herbs. Just so damn voluptuous. Drank side by side with Scarecrow at a quieter moment and it was a clear winner for me. TRB being TRB. — 5 years ago

On the nose closed. On the palate ... basically an orgy. Ridiculous umame. Savory. Rich. But acidically balanced. If that’s a word. With chicken in cream sauce this would be heaven. Check back in 18 months. The upside on this wine could be very very high. The downside is just really delicious. Ok an hour in this is sick. I mean sick and profound. Internal aromatics are kicking in. Incredible wine. Do not touch for 18 months. Once the nose kicks in this will be a bucket list experience. — 6 years ago

In summary; the aromas drag your nose into a nasal orgy arousing ever sensory receptor, then this Tempranillo señorita dances in pure silk all over you tastebuds seducing you salivating for more, climaxing in a lingering Olè!
