Late Bottled Vintage Porto Port Blend 2013

Dark ruby in color with a short reddish rim.

Sweet nose of blackcurrants, blackberries, oak, cooked cherries, plums, vanilla, licorice, leather, light chocolates, earth, mocha, pencil lead, light vegetables and black pepper.

Full bodied and bold with high acidity and long legs.

Sweet on the palate with blackberries, plums, cherry pie, dried figs, tobacco, spices, wood, vanilla, cloves, dark coffee, chocolates, alcohol, mocha, caramel, spices and peppercorn.

Long finish with soft tannins and tangy raspberries.

This vintage Port is young and so enjoyable already. Well balanced and sweet with lots of acidity to balance the sugars out. Good by itself as a desert.

Big and still showing some alcohol, on the palate, and earth notes on the nose, which will go away with time.

Wine Enthusiasts 89 points.

Will be better in the next 10 to 20 years, unfortunately I do not have the patience to wait. 😃

This 6 year old is Interesting, complex and delicious.

Limited Edition Very Old Single Harvest Porto 2013

Beautiful jammy port. Paired with 3 kinds of cheddar and complemented beautifully. Later, paired with chocolatey Pots de Creme. Amazing! — 3 months ago

Marlborough Grüner Veltliner 2016

What an amazing Gruner! Tropical from the Marlborough terroir with tiny hints of grapefruit and citrus, but with the smoothness and depth of a traditional Gruner. It’s great! — 8 days ago

Tons of vanilla and cinnamon. Very creamy mouthfeel. A bit of a spicy kick in the teeth up front but then finishes loooooong and smoooooth. Wow. — 12 days ago

20 Years Old Tawny Port Blend

Interesting balance. Fantastic flavor, that classic tawny caramel and nuts. But quite a bit of alcohol on the finish. Trade offs... — 12 days ago

Mary Taylor Costieres de Nimes Red Rhone Blend 2017

Supple, jammy, silky mouthfeel, grapefruit, reminds me of the smokey charcoal of a Vacqueyras and the fruit of a luscious Pinot.

A recommended Rhône from the local shop owner on 23rd street.

A bouquet that brings the memory of clementines.

A shimmering pool of maroon silk.
