When I’m not drinking a Napa Cab, I reach for a Jordon. Blend of 80% Cab Sauvignon, 11% Merlot, 7% Petit Verdot & 2% Malbec, aged 13 months in 100% French oak (35% new). Deep Ruby with aromas of red fruit, floral and an array of spices. On the palate flavors of cherry, blackberry and fig with oak, vanilla spice, leather and cacao notes. On the palate flavors of cherry, blackberry and plum with notes of tobacco, cedar, black pepper, tea and vanilla spice. Blend of 78% Cabernet Sauvignon, 12% Merlot, 9% Cabernet Franc, and 1% Petit Verdot that spent 20 months all in new French oak, deep Ruby with aromas of berry fruits, floral, tobacco and flinty notes. On the palate flavors of rich berry fruits and black currants with cacao and tobacco spice, on a well integrated frame. Aged for about 10 months in French oak (15% new). Pale golden lemon color with aromas of fresh fruit, citrus zest and nutty floral notes, very elegant nose. On the palate flavors of ripe apple, citrus and mineral notes with a very light touch of nutty oak. Nice acidity balance ending with a whiff of chalky mineral and smoky oak notes.
