Just a few pics of the wines from last night’s monthly 4th Friday. Too many bottles to try!
Awesome bottle from @Bryan Kesting . I’m falling hard for Saxum. After having the ‘12 and ‘13 James Berry bottles over the last month, this has less perfumed, sweet and crunchy red fruit but a decidedly darker, smoked bacon fat, black cherry compote and baking spice note. Evolved each time I revisited. Chewy. Espresso, bayleaf, and dark flowers on the palate. Delicious. — 17 days ago
Crushed stone, tart lemon, tangerine, and lemon curd, medium+ acidity. — 2 days ago
Pale straw hue with moderate tearing. Nose has fresh citrus, lemon peel, and ripe cantaloupe notes. White flowers, such as lily and gardenias. Delicate buttery aromas. Crisp on palate with more pronounced wet slate and stone elements alongside fresh stone fruit and citrus. Medium finish. Vintage 2015. 13.5% ABV. #grandvindebourgogne #montagny #aupieddumontchauve #whiteburgundy #chardonnay #oldworld #côtechalonnaise — 4 days ago
This is actually the jalapeño apple wine but it wasn’t on here. Nice light white wine. Slightly sweet with a bit of warmth and aftertaste from the jalapeño — 5 days ago
