A lush and very classically structured Burgundy. Plenty of earth with a touch of barnyard for good measure. The red fruit is still alive and kicking. Quite herbaceous throughout with a nice touch of spice. A pretty delicious village Burg which definitely has more than enough interesting about it going on. There’s a little evidence of a decline and fall but there’s still time. — 10 months ago

Pale to mid crimson in colour with a tawny edge. Pouring from the decanter- quite tawny. Earthy fungal notes - a touch of animale. A wow palate particularly for a Village wine (actually more of a Premier Cru quality). Totally integrated oak with a fleshy sweetness. - this wine would last till its 20th Birthday. A fabulous Burgundy without the depth and complexity of a Grand Cru but at a fraction of the price of a GC. Made by the late, great Denis Mortet before his untimely passing. Probably the best village red burgundy I’ve ever tasted. — 9 months ago

Pulled this one out of the cellar. Cedar, elegant, silky, smoke and stewed plums on the nose, zesty and bright, herbaceous with ultra dry cherry cola palate. Delightful. It’s aged very well. — 9 months ago
