This is DOP Ribeira Sacra (an underrated region IMO). The nose shows intense, ripe & tangy red berries, lots of crushed rock, and a pleasantly subtle vegetal note. In the mouth, it’s fruity and round, with a very soft texture. Bone dry, with the initial wallop of fruit turning savory and stony. Nice acids. Very Beaujolais-like and a great value that will work well for parties and with a lot of different foods. — 2 years ago
