Fruit-forward, still dry but without much tannin or chewiness. Pepper medley and wet cigar after opening up. Eaten with a cured beef carpaccio and rocket/pecorino/toasted pine nut salad which was a superb pairing. — 5 years ago
BBQ & Zin night!
1 of 5 Turley zins tonight. This eeked out the win for my favorite Turley of the night. Very full throttle without being rocket fuel like. Big blue and black fruits, charcoal, toasted oak, savory herb and a touch of menthol. — 5 years ago
Medium bodied. Bing cherries. A little bit of fruit rollup (i.e fruit leather). Light acid. Celebrating my graduation from rocket training! — 8 days ago
Very nice oak and flavor. Didn’t experience bad aftertaste either. Got from Bottle Rocket, would repeat buy. — 4 years ago
Poached pear and brown sugar, baked apple with cloves, cinnamon, black tea, orange peel, sage, red hots, grilled corn husk, tamarind, nutmeg and yam lead you into the glass. Big rosemary-sage entry and dark caramel release the heat beast of cinnamon, cedar, ginger, stemmy pepper, lemon oil, cherry, pine resin, smoke, tobacco leaf burn, and a pleasant vanilla-Pecan finish that leaves a dry, satisfying sensation. Wild, hot rocket through the centuries to a smoldering hilltop and a fine clogging replete with déjà-vu. — 5 years ago
Actual birthdate celebration with some Burrata, Rocket, Prosciutto & Crostini’s.
My last year in my current decade. 😱
Paired with my 2nd favorite N/V Rosé Champange. We will have my favorite producer of Champagne on Saturday.
It’s a social distancing celebration under lockdown. Interesting times to celebrate in.
Bigger celebration, wines & dinner Friday.
Cheers! 🍾🥂 Stay safe out there! — 4 years ago

Love the Counoise element and this is definitely a lighter bodied wine relative to the Saxum range. Alcohol is hot and fruit expression isn’t quite as refined as I would expect from this producer. Still young though so curious to see how it will develop. — 2 days ago
