Pale lemon. Lean and steely. Fresh lemon and yellow peach, cherry plum, orange, and honeysuckle. Almond skin rounds off the palate. Medium plus acidity, medium body and finish. 20% Chard from crus in Cote des Blanc, 40% Pinot Noir mostly sourced from Montagne de Reins, Vallee de la Marne, and Aube-Les Riceys. 40% Pinot Meunier from Vallee de la Marne. — 5 years ago
KL pick up while living in Cali. Excited about the use of P blanc in Champ as I wasn't aware it was done. Hung on to it for a chunk. Drank Thanksgiving 2022. Sharing got the best of me, barely got a glass for myself. 12% $50 — a year ago
Full clean and bright notes of pinot noir. Cherries, bit of stone from the region, tart. Extremely pleasing. — 3 years ago
Great discovery from another under the radar appellation: Les Riceys, a commune in the Côte des Bar, about 2 hours south of Reims, almost bordering Burgundy. Savory, not sparkling Rosé made with Pinot Noir from a single vineyard on chalky soils, farmed biodynamically. Carbonic maceration. Aged in barrels for 3 years. Pale ruby color with orange hues. Lively, complex nose with aromas of strawberries, smoky notes. Light-bodied, mineral, saline, great texture. Reminiscent of Poulsard — 8 months ago
Family growers founded in the 1950s in the Aube region in So Champagne, close to burgundy and planted with 90% Pinot Noir. So this Rosé is 100% Pinot Noir, aromas of stone fruits, berry and floral notes. On the palate flavors of strawberry and peach, lively acidity and citrus notes. Long finish ending with creamy yeasty notes. — 4 years ago
