63% Temp, 17% Petite Verdot, 10% Graciano, 9% Tannat. Dark color. Almost black in low light. Aromas of smoke, cherry cobbler and licorice root. Maybe slight petrichor. Flavors are nice. Dense and fruit driven. Cherry pits and licorice chews (the Dutch salty, fruit flavored kind). Hint of herbal backbone (sage and basil meet mint and marjoram). For its fairly low price (think this was $12.99) this is a great CA wine. Restrained but big. Fruity but balanced. Fun but elegant. And it’s from just up da road! Nice work neighbors. — 3 months ago
Blend of 96% Sauv Blanc with 4% Sauv Gris adding an interesting dynamic to the wine & distinctive aromas (prior to ‘18 vintage some Semillon added). Pale lemon color, citrus, tropical & floral aromas. On the palate peach, melon, herb & earthy tones, well balanced with acidity, smooth yet robust on a long finish ending rich with wet stone character. Good value! A Fav!! Remarkably given it's age, a little tight on first opening. Decanting brings out plummy, stewed prune fruit, almost port-like nose, oak, and a hint of walnuts in the tannins. — 3 months ago

Today's program includes OGONEK (Starling Variations, 2022; world premiere), FARRENC (Symphony No. 3 in G minor, Opus. 36) and BEETHOVEN (Piano Concerto No. 5 in E-flat, Opus 73, Emperor).
