Vigna Cicogna Greco di Tufo 2019

ESF
9.2

Don’t see it as often as I’d like, but I almost always pick up a Greco and always enjoy it! Florals florals florals, fresh garden, wet stones, orchard fruit - quite complex and this is best at cellar temp. Silky sensuous on palate, gorgeous body w/nice heft & balanced integrated acidity. Really strutted thru finish. Would like to revisit in 5 yrs — 16 days ago

Flora Beneventano Falanghina 2021

Was pretty skeptical when I saw this was 14.5% - but really quite good. Lots of white fruit / sweet nuts / white grapefruit. Pretty savory and great acid on the finish. Full bodied. Nice value. Still would prefer it to be 12.5% but can’t argue overall. — 2 months ago

Fiano di Avellino 2022

I sometimes like fiano for the somewhat interesting texture even trading off for perhaps a bit less acid. Nice one. — a month ago

Piano di Montevergine Taurasi Aglianico 2013

Good, chunky wine that's terroir driven. Lot of life left. — 2 months ago

Serpico Irpinia Aglianico 2003

Finally, this wine got into the zone.
The savory austerity and rugged masculinity melted into the wine to reveal a lovely balanced (and maybe even elegant) beauty.

Colli di Salerno Cabernet Sauvignon Blend 2002

Deep, dark colour, brownish rim.
Notes of black cherry, smoked ham, summer asphalt, cedar and potpourri.
Still holding up but its definately time to drink these.

Sannio Falanghina 2021

Falanghina is fun to share with wine novices and experts alike as they are slightly off the beaten track and utterly delicious. Golden yellow with a zesty, bitter salted almond note on the palate, they are voluptuous, not losing track of that sharp salinity, though. Very alive, bringing in under rich white peach and herbal notes to the mix, finishing floral with that almond note recurring. — 2 months ago
