Galen Glen

Stone Cellar Grüner Veltliner

Ah Gruner.

Nice clear pale yellow.

Melon, mineral, tropical fruits, pineapple, and a bit of petrol.

Slight slight effervescent quality. Great, solid expression of gruner. Chalky, loamy, pineapple, and limestone.

Lake Erie Noiret 2018

Had a glass at the winery and it tasted good enough to buy a bottle and bring home. So … at home , it pours a deep ruby color. Aroma of red raspberry and berries and a hint of smoke? . Cherries and raspberries in the middle with a dry pucker at the finish. — 3 years ago

Penns Woods

Reserve Central Delaware Valley Cabernet Franc 2017

This 2017 is back on track with goodness! Great aroma, juicy fruity well balanced full palate experience. Long finish. Just as good 3 days later as on opening. — 4 years ago

Penns Woods

Reserve Cabernet Sauvignon 2016

Solid vintage year for the reserve cab. It’s one of the better balanced mid-Atlantic cabs you can find. It has the density and complexity of a top tier cab you’d expect from.more acclaimed Napa vineyards - but without the the ‘in your face’ tannins. Nice job Penn’s Woods! — 2 years ago

Fruit and spice on the nose. Very approachable on opening and remained consistently good two days later. Raspberries spice (cinnamon) and slight plum on the palate. Medium density. Moderate length finish. — 8 months ago

This Pa brewery is rocking my world. Close my eyes and taste this, and I drift back to my time when I lived in Waterloo, Brussels. Label says 9.5% abv, but it’s tucked in nicely. Woody notes on the palate, with cardamom, cloves and licorice. Heart-warming as it slips down the hatch. Well done! — 5 years ago

Yes, @Dawn E. It’s where the final land battle took place. If you visit the museum there, you’d be forgiven for thinking that Napoleon won! Still, I enjoyed my time there... but the food and beers were to die for!
