El Enemigo

Mendoza Cabernet Franc 2019

What a great burger wine! The grippy tannins worked for the fat in the burgers, and the fruit and racy acidity stood up to all the toppings. Bonus: this wine was the bomb with the brownies we had for dessert. — a month ago

Bodega Chacra

Barda Patagonia Pinot Noir 2022

Really quite nice. On the very restrained end of the spectrum. 12.5%, quite herby and minerally vs fruity. Hadn’t had Chacra before and so made it part of my “branch out” case with wines from outside of France, Italy, and Germany. Nice pairing with mustard and tarragon chicken thighs. Great delicacy to the mouthfeel. Finish a bit lacking keeping this from being higher. — 2 months ago
