Another solid vintage of this interesting Loire Valley Rose’. Made primarily with the Grolleau grape (95%) with a small amount of Cabernet Franc (5%) blended in. Medium pink color. Aromas and flavors of cranberries, pomegranate and ripe strawberries. Touch of sweet spice on the finish. Quite fruit forward and crisp with a bit of RS, which is nicely balanced with bracing acidity. Nice accompaniment to a dessert course. — 6 months ago
Slightly sweet, light, easy to drink. Perfect for a summer day. — 3 years ago
Off dry, little tanin or alcohol, smooth easy drinking. — 8 months ago
There was no grolleau in the '21 vintage and was replaced by cab franc and pinot noir, which made for a slighly drier wine this time around. Still very enjoyable, with its lovely floral aromas and fruity notes of peach and apricot on the palate. 40% Cabernet Franc, 40% Gamay, 20% Pinot Noir. 9/21/22. — 2 years ago
Tastes even better after it breathes. Robust, hearty grape taste. Nice tannins. No lingering aftertaste. Smooth mature wine with a pleasant finish. — 2 years ago
