Domaine des Nouelles

Rosé d'Anjou 2021

Another solid vintage of this interesting Loire Valley Rose’. Made primarily with the Grolleau grape (95%) with a small amount of Cabernet Franc (5%) blended in. Medium pink color. Aromas and flavors of cranberries, pomegranate and ripe strawberries. Touch of sweet spice on the finish. Quite fruit forward and crisp with a bit of RS, which is nicely balanced with bracing acidity. Nice accompaniment to a dessert course. — 6 months ago

Château d'Epiré

Grand Cru D'Anjou Savennières Chenin Blanc 2019

A warm vintage, medium lemon color with aromas of white fruits and wet stone aromas. On the palate flavors of ripe apple & peach, very complex, lively acidity. Long finish ending with mineral and sweet honey character, should age well, but great now! — 2 years ago

Alain de la Treille

Rosé d'Anjou Gamay Grolleau 2021

There was no grolleau in the '21 vintage and was replaced by cab franc and pinot noir, which made for a slighly drier wine this time around. Still very enjoyable, with its lovely floral aromas and fruity notes of peach and apricot on the palate. 40% Cabernet Franc, 40% Gamay, 20% Pinot Noir. 9/21/22. — 2 years ago
