I don’t often post whisky but then I do, it’s because they’re pretty special. This is no exception. A rather unusual barrel pick, this 14-year Highland Park was aged in what appears to be a sherry cask (color, aroma, flavor) and bottled at cask strength. Notes of cola, coffee, potpourri, smoke and pepper with a rich, fuller body. I called it the Dr. Pepper of Scotch. The finish is forever long. Sadly, I’ll probably never get to experience this again. — 2 years ago

If I could sum up Highland Park 30 with emojis it would be: 😬 🐸 😍 48% alcohol? Zero burn. Fresh caramel. Hint of smoke. No other scotch I've had in my lifetime compares. — 9 years ago
