This 2013 was a very pleasant surprise. Very smooth, little to no tannins, and a caymus like taste. Wow, very very impressed… — 3 years ago
No butter-popcorn or sugared fruit-bomb here. Tart Granny Smith and slightly crunchy pear notes... touch of oak but no toasted brioche. The wine exhibits tight, acid-fruit weight and balance in the mouth. What strikes me most and keeps me interested is the serious weight and amazeball long and powerful finish. Call me crazy, but I prefer Bedrock’s whites/Rose to their vaunted reds! — 3 years ago
— 2 years ago
Treehouse Brewing Co. Hey Mr Gingerbread Man. Imperial Milk Stout. 9.4% ABV — 2 years ago
Tart Granny Smith apples.
Minerality, fruit, and acidic elements mix in harmonizing clarity.
Slight effervescence. Nice to cap off date night. Mr Chow — highly overrated, but glad we tried it so we know not to return. I prefer better value, more authenticity, and less uppity. If you’re going to “elevate” Chinese food and up charge — you’ve got to nail it (see Budakkan) — 3 years ago
I literally gave up on domestic Chardonnay...but I love the flavor profile—Tart, juicy Granny Smith and ripe sweet pear. No discernible oak, light crisp acid/ fruit balance and ABV under 13. What a food wine! Every time I pop an Enfield, I congratulate myself on my perspicuity and good sense. It’s not hard to drink well, just ignore the big names and hype. — 3 years ago
Fore Please!…Now Drinking 2019 Bedrock Wine Co. Monte Rosso Vineyard Zinfandel.
In celebration of Scottie Scheffler’s 2022 Masters victory- let’s pair the Bedrock wine notes with Mr. Scheffler’s golf game!
Morgan Twain-Peterson(MT-P) writes: “this wine comes from a phenomenal block planted in 1886 on the midslope of the vineyard “.
Just so, Mr. Scheffler, being just 25 years old exemplifies great maturity. Scottie also maintained his elevated game this entire Masters week to capture his first major.
MT-P: “Though this site has always excelled, it looks particularly dialed in”.
Likewise Mr. Scheffler has always excelled at his craft of tournament golf. Since dominating junior golf events, to keeping his game dialed in since turning pro on the PGA tour, and especially this week at Augusta National.
Job well done Mr. Twain-Peterson.
Congratulations, and job well done also Mr. Scheffler! Okay — 2 years ago
Dennis Hogenkamp
14.5% ABV Dark concentrated color.
Celebrating Mr. Scheffler’s 2024 Masters victory with a wine rooted in the east bench of Dry Creek. This Zin blend is explosive, possesses tons of energy, and like Antonio Galloni states is “stunning”.
In addition to Scottie’s east roots in New Jersey, his game is explosive and stunning. A Dry Creek wine because Mr. Scheffler avoided the water at Amen Corner during the final round, unlike several of his competitors in close pursuit.
A stunning wine, and a stunning victory.
Congratulations M-T-P and Mr. Scheffler! — 5 days ago
