Just stop and look at this thing. Look how gorgeous it is. It’s so pretty I almost don’t want to drink it. Almost. Beautiful effervescence and an instant burst of fresh fruit aromas. Strawberries and cream with raspberry jam. Lychee and dried herbs, mild spice and a fair bit of kumquat for good measure.
One of the Masters of Meunier and it shows. It always shows. Brilliant acidity though understated compared to his wines with lower dosages. 100% Pinot Meunier from Festigny and full of unique personality and character. 50/50 from the 2017 and 2018 vintages, this is youthful and fresh with lively minerality. Very lean and mean while still remaining generous.
On the palate, this distinguishes itself from other rosé bubbles. The antithesis of a lifeless, limp, and limpid wine. Thrilling in the mouth, the red fruits announce their presence. Red cherries and orange slices. A rumor of smoke and the whisper of tobacco. A long, magnanimous finish that truly leaves you wanting. I’ll drink another bottle just because. — 2 years ago
Punchy, tangy, tangerine, kumquat, candied lemon. Bright, incredible texture, touch of bitter and mouthwatering, tons of electricity. Layers upon layers of mixed citrus peel, ginger, Cointreau, sultanas, Sicilian almonds. Party and complexity all rolled into one. Wow — 3 years ago
Nose starts off a little reduced. But under that is gorgeous clean fruit and minerals. Muller-Thurgau fruit is so hard to describe. Maybe kumquat? I don’t know. Pink grapefruit. Awesome wet stones and so so mineral. Like a 1er Cru white burgundy. Palate is terrific with great acids and freshness and just dazzling purity. Clean as a whistle. Juicy and engaging with a dazzling structure. Terrific sap and energy. Brilliant wine. — 2 years ago
Pulled this to pair with a mushroom, pea shoot and ricotta pasta dish.
Pale to medium yellow. Nose offers stone dust, kumquat zest and orange fruit. Savory on the palate w additional vegetal tones blooming there, pretty distinctly NOT fruity at this point of development. — 2 years ago
Popped and poured. In the glass, a pale straw color. The nose was incredibly fresh, like a cool breeze on a Spring day. Notes of pomelo, kiwi fruit, and wet stone. On the palate, orange bitters, kumquat, lemons...seemingly all of the citrus fruits. Great acid contributes to a long, clean finish. I found this to be a more expressive showing than the last bottle, nearly 18 months ago. — 3 years ago
This wine has a medium lemon hue with refreshing and zesty notes of lemon peel, grapefruit pith, and kumquat, alongside juicy peach, nectarine, yellow apple, chamomile, white blossom, chervil, saline, and wet stone characteristics.
It carries a relative richness lending balance to the fresh primary and mineral notes with a fuller mouthfeel.
This wine is made exclusively from the Godello variety hailing from northwest Spain’s Bierzo appellation in the Castilla Y Leon region.
It was produced by Raul Perez, an acclaimed, small-batch winemaker whose practices have built a beautiful platform upon which the fruit and terroir may express themselves to the fullest and purest extent.
A delightful pairing with pan-seared halibut with roasted broccolini. Cheers!

Glorious nose of apricot, kumquat, mineral, tangerine skins, mirabelle plums, persimmon and more! Wide open nose. Incredible spice and depth. Palate is chock full peach, apricot and more. Juicy and lean but also nimble and powerful. A lot going on here. Terrific intensity and purity. Man this is concentrated and deep. Amazing palate presence. Insane! I love the mineral force that is this wine. Epic finish. — a month ago
