Tinto Rey Tempranillo 2019

Central Valley California Tempranillo. Blend of Tempranillo (78%) and Petite Verdot (22%). Dark ruby color with purple highlights. Faint aromas of red berries, black olives and dusty herbs. The palate features more blueberry and sour red berry flavors. Additional flavors of plums and cherry cola/cream soda . Hint of dark chocolate on the long finish. Firm tannins, rich and very concentrated. — a month ago

Dunnigan Hills Cabernet Sauvignon 2015

Rusty, dusty maroon. Pretty classic color. Smells like wood, spices, licorice and good blackberry jam. Oh and wine. Smells winey. Like a wine cellar smells. Flavors are smooth and less tannic than expected. Tastes like cherry and berry sauce meets a nice fruit licorice from Australia or Holland. Also tomato and tobacco leaves. Balanced and complete. This is a very drinkable and enjoyable Central Valley Cab at a nice price. — 4 years ago

The Arsonist California Petit Verdot Blend 2011

“Sipping Fine Wines” comments exactly mirror my own. It went well with the chicken pesto risotto we paired it with.
Enough said. This one is a great value, a hidden gem and a definite rebuy. $20 at Sprouts.

A go to wine for me. Pairs great with steak or just as a table wine by itself. TGIF! — 3 years ago
