Tinto Rey Tempranillo 2015

She’s a talker....and doesn’t drink Italian wines. But Melissa suggested this one and it hit the spot.
Not very complicated on the nose and the right amount of dry.
This ‘top 10’ wine bar held up to its 15 score.

Dunnigan Hills Cabernet Sauvignon 2015

Rusty, dusty maroon. Pretty classic color. Smells like wood, spices, licorice and good blackberry jam. Oh and wine. Smells winey. Like a wine cellar smells. Flavors are smooth and less tannic than expected. Tastes like cherry and berry sauce meets a nice fruit licorice from Australia or Holland. Also tomato and tobacco leaves. Balanced and complete. This is a very drinkable and enjoyable Central Valley Cab at a nice price. — a month ago

Dunnigan Hills Tempranillo 2014

Looks like dark and deep red wine. Smells funky. Flint, cooking blackberries, potpourri, and wet soil. Flavors are smooth, ripe and true to the Temp. Balance is nice. Smoked meats, herbs, cherries, and membrillo quince paste. Still bites hard with tannins on the way out. Excellent age-able Tempranillo. I waited 6 years, it could last 10-20. — 4 months ago
