What has always been my favorite cuvée in the Suenen lineup, Les Robarts and 2015 is a perfect match. Aged in a single Tonnellerie Rousseau 20-hl foudre for 10 months before bottling and then 5 years on the lees before disgorgement, it is always so textural, intense and concentrated. There is an impeccable balance of minerality, ripe fruit expression and floral lift with a long saline finish. I also always get a distinct black licorice note in Les Robarts.
