La Dame De Saintonge

La Dame de Malescot

Margaux Red Bordeaux Blend 2018

2018 vintage. Second wine of Cru Classé Malescot Saint-Exupéry. Charming nose with ripe black cherries, raspberry jam and some floral hints. This medium-bodied, fruit-driven Margaux is drinking well already with silky tannin and good length. Not very complex, but a very charming wine indeed. Abv. 14%. Good value at less than half the price of the Grand Vin, even if I would rate the less expensive La Tour de Bessan (tasted alongside) higher. — 5 days ago

Elegant grand dame. Bouquet a little restrained but notes of flora and spring meadow elegant on the palate huge long finish. Really a treat. — 3 months ago

Veuve Clicquot Ponsardin

La Grande Dame Brut Champagne Blend 2012

I could drink this any day any time. Absolutely phenomenal champagne. Smooth, bubbly, lovely blend of flavors. This vintage was incredibly light. — a month ago

Le Thio Noots (Romain Verger)

La Dame Bleue Cabernet Franc

Best wine I’ve had in years by far. The slight bubbly effect that it has and explosion of flavors made this an experience to long for. I’ll be looking for this one. — 8 months ago

La Dame Blanche 2018

Great surprise. Beautiful natural white from Ambierle. Light bodied but with interesting herbaceousness, green apples, almost some toastiness too. Wonderful discovery — 3 months ago

Château Montrose

La Dame de Montrose Saint-Estèphe Red Bordeaux Blend 2009

Really a pretty nice second wine from a great Bordeaux house (Montrose). In general I prefer St Julien to St Estephe but this is very good. Decanted 2 hours which I recommend. Inky in the glass. Some good secondary notes on the nose. Fruit is very there, but more acid to keep it balanced than I expected. Nice with a prime ribeye on the grill. — a month ago
