A yummy, bold, funk-fest that is up there for favorite Italian naturals. Bought at BP! — a year ago
Why this wine worked for me. Well it was good! Lol seriously though subtle dark fruits and what I would call humidified maduro cigar on the nose. (there are differences between the naturals and the Maduros.). Anyway, to me very nice. Soft dark cherries some blackberries a bit of chalk and leather will work in harmony on the palate. Nice finish. Tannins and acid both seem to be appropriate. To me I liked this wine. I hope you enjoy it as well. — 2 years ago
Star bright tannish gold. Surprisingly abundant nose of Royal Gala apples with a hint of flint. Still too young fir the flint to dominate, but it’s there. Medium light, layered palate echoes the nose wrapped around firm mouthwatering acidity and leading into a lengthy stony almost saline finish. German dry Riesling has come a long way since the turn of the century and this GG representative of the renowned 2017 vintage makes the case grandly. An excellent VDP authorized (look for the eagle) Riesling that will compliment a wonderful range of foods. Asian cuisine (non-spicy) or Euro-American pork dishes are naturals. Drink now through 2032 or so when the flint has taken the lead. — 3 years ago
Star bright pale gold. Shy but inviting nose and medium light palate of ripe green apple and flint. Medium acidity and flint mineral form the modest structure from entry to the moderate finish. Classic Fourchaume roundness with the extra mineral of the "dead man" makes for an excellent "all around" Chablis that can handle heavier fare than one would expect from the broader appellation. Weighty shellfish are naturals, of course, but roasted poultry or pork will also show quite well. Drink now through 2025. — a year ago
a nice bridge for the not so naturals, great interest without the funk — 2 years ago
Outstanding right out of the gate. A pretty yellow robe with intense perlage initially. An abundance of fine bubbles and innate creaminess. The nose positively explodes with dainty white flowers and salinity. A pinch of cherry and fresh herbs. There’s enough oak to say hello along with lemon peel and almond slivers. Mirabelle plums and warm yeast.
Pure Pinot Noir from one of my favorite areas, Bouzy. Benoit Marguet has long been one of the standard bearers in Champagne of terroir driven, naturals wines with bare minimum dosage and minimal use of sulfites. And that makes a difference. Terroir driven indeed, the essence of Bouzy. Bone dry and full bodied, I love how vinous of a champagne this is. Elegance is not sacrificed in any way with a premium mouthfeel. Almost four years on lees and disgorged in March of 2019.
On the palate you’ll find pure bliss. Intense minerality and toasted brioche. Rich and generous with orchard fruits and just the right amount of oak. Plenty of citrus and high acidity with a touch of really nice red fruit. Long courtly finish. This is special stuff. — 3 years ago
Dark near black purple. Black plum and a hint of graphite on the inviting nose. Confirmed on the lush full palate adding cocoa and red apple. Medium acidity asserts with that appley note. Lengthy finish is introduced by the velvety (medium) mid palate tannins, and continues the palate with a touch more cocoa. This is an excellent example of the original Malbec which can hold its own in the company of similarly priced Bordeaux. Take it to the same places, but lamb or cassoulet are naturals. Drink now through 2028. — a year ago
Got some surprise flowers for the bae.
Highly recommended from the new wine shop called Cool Wines, highlighting naturals, SoHo/TriBeCa.
I love the sweet fragrance of aromatic Guwerztraminers. And this just that — wildflower honey, potent pea blossom, and the subtlety of lavender.
Wow, packs a one, two punch of honey, cherries, tangerines, and melon. Dripping with fruit-soaked sips. This ones got some typa energy.

100% Mourvèdre. Dark, glass clinging purple red with opaque black core. Big, bosomy nose of patent leather. Dark, full-bodied palate yields all of that patent leather plus slightly tart black fruit (my dinner partner says blackberry). Assertive but supple tannins from entry. Long, dreamy finish. French and Mediterranean fare are naturals. Drink now through 2047. — 9 months ago
