Draws you in from the get go, such attractive fresh, perfumed nose of blue fruits, plum, tarragon, pastry, white pepper, aniseed & Vietnamese mint. If the length wasn't so dismal this would be one of the best value wines going around. — 8 years ago
See previous notes. My last bottle - purchased at the winery on Kangaroo Island. 100% Cabernet Franc. Herbs , Tea leaves, Charcoal, Black, fruits, a touch of caramel oak. Quite a full bodied opulent wine showing those black fruits. A product of the warm 2008 vintage in South Australia. A classy wine balancing the ripe fruit with the right amount of oak treatment. Very polished as you would expect from a $150 wine. Shows Jaques Lurton’s (Cheval Blanc) experience with the Cabernet Franc grape. — 2 years ago
This is lovely. Light across the front palate then strawberries and raspberries that veritably tickle the back palate with a beautiful dry finish — 4 years ago
Only the 2nd vintage of this wine, and it has held up well. Not nearly as face crushing as most Aussie cab, this is an elegant example of this grape grown down under — 8 years ago
Decadent Father’s Day lunch very suitably accompanied by this super fresh crisp Rosé. Summer fruits abound (raspberries, dragon fruit) with a nose that is like a field full of fresh flowers after rain!
Delightful and decadent undersells this! — 3 years ago
Superb … actually bloody superb. Hint of sweetness, bit of smokiness and smooth, so smooth!! Pear, apples and a hint of summer grasses.
This is a warm spring day in a glass — 3 years ago

See several previous notes. My last of these Cuvées from Kangaroo Island South Australia and owned by the French Lurton family of Cheval Blanc fame. Savoury plum with earthy overtones. With air the aromas were almost intoxicating. Quite bold and full bodied on the palate - oak has integrated. Rich and spicy yet cleansing and moreish. Touch of camphor finishing with fine sandy tannins. — 2 years ago
