This 'trocken' Grauburgunder is more like a Mosel kabinett Riesling than an Alsatian Pinot Gris. It's even got a bit of that kerosene note on the nose, quince and a bit floral (jasmine?). The finish is dry (just), tasty white grapefruit flavours, good acidity. As a fan of Riesling and PG, I like this. — 3 years ago

N - Warming hedgerow berry fruit mixed with a pronounced sweet baking spice perfume
P - full on Pinot silky red fruit but with a decent amount of background tannin and very attractive bitter red cherry currant that really powers through on the finish.

After a nearly three hours in the decanter....
N - Has become more expansive and also includes an orange zest, sweet red currant, rich cherry, kola nut, new leather, sweet liquorice, icing sugar with a sweet smokiness, enchanting, suave, opulent.
P - great purity of fruit, blackberry and again notes of orange, cherry and underripe blueberry, refined tannins and a juicy acidity. Long finish, pure elegant, refined. — 9 years ago
