Fruit-driven Cab from 20-25 years old vines in Isla de Maipo, just south of Santiago. Fermented in stainless steel with indigenous yeasts, and aged for 12 months in oak barrels. Quite jammy nose with aromas of dark fruit (blackberry, cassis, blackberry gummies), red fruit (strawberry, strawberry jam) and hints of bell pepper and tobacco. Medium-bodied, ripe fruit flavors. Fruity and spicy. Not much nose and a short finish, but I really like it. Full taste, not complex, and very easy to drink. We paired it with a spicy chicherone sandwich in Barranco Lima Peru. — 9 years ago

Beside it was just bottled in June 2016, it has fresh strawberry and blueberry in the nose, followed by licorice and species. In the mouth is crispy, a little edgy. It need a few months in bottle yet to evolve and round. And well, that's my opinion for my own wine haha. — 8 years ago

Wow-17yo and fruit still alive. New Oak has tamed it well for long term aging. Makes me want to say, si Cab de Chile! I will drink more in an hour and let you know if it opens more. Cassis, cocoa and bit of vanilla notes. — 9 years ago
