Fattoria Viticcio

Riserva Chianti Classico Sangiovese Blend 2017

Drinking in 2024, the 2017 is still young but it's a solid chianti and will age well for another decade or two. Black cherry on the nose with fleshly plum. A tad of blood orange too. A good infusion of sandalwood, subtle spice, and some minerality behind it all. High acidity. Medium to medium+ tannin, but it's integrated pretty well. This has nice length on it. Overall, very nice! — 3 months ago

Cibonne

Cuvée Spéciale Côtes de Provence Tibouren 2018

Black raspberries. Mountain/forest, red clay, great woody and herbal infusion. Developing like burgundy.
Such a steal.

Domaine Ramonet

Les Ruchottes Chassagne-Montrachet 1er Cru Chardonnay 2008

Imposing power and richness with an absolutely explosive and stunning nose. Lemon curd, white flowers, grilled nuts, spices and melted butter are layered in its fine mineral infusion to provide the perfect balance. There’s great weight, excellent mid palate depth and a fresh and intense lemony acid spine that cuts the wine’s richness seamlessly before its long and lingering finish. Fantastic bottle. — 3 years ago

Château Les Carmes Haut-Brion

Pessac-Léognan Red Bordeaux Blend 2015

Delectable Wine
9.3

The 2015 Les Carmes Haut-Brion is the first vintage vinified with 100% infusion, including 55% whole bunches. This has a much more intense bouquet compared to the 2014: copious blackberries, blueberry and crushed violet scents, hints of blood orange and a light cassis touch with time. The palate is medium-bodied with fine density and precision, good grip, edgy tannins with clearly more mineralité percolating through the finish. Excellent. Tasted at the Les Carmes Haut-Brion vertical at the château. (Neal Martin, Vinous, October 2022)

Domaine du Comte Liger-Belair

Monopole Clos du Château Vosne-Romanée Pinot Noir 2017

Young CLB never ceases to amaze. Pop and pour magic once again as high toned red fruit, violets and distinctive CLB spice soar from the glass with almost no reduction getting in the way. Finely detailed and ethereal palate with a simultaneous intensity of vivid fruit and a mineral infusion that leads to its seamless transition to finish. Always a special experience to drink CLB. — 3 years ago

Amizetta Vineyards

Napa Valley Merlot 2019

Young and too bold, needs another year or two. Dark inky purple with concentrated black fruits and black currant aromas. Hints of mocha and Applewood bacon. Medium acid, full body, svelte tannins. Blazing 15% soaked up by some oak infusion. — 2 years ago

Jacques-Frédéric Mugnier

Les Fuées Chambolle-Musigny 1er Cru Pinot Noir 2013

I’m loving how the vintage is drinking, especially so from the top producers. Rousseau and Mugnier being my favorites. The 2013 Fuées is loaded with spice and violets and has such lovely purity of fruit that’s backed by a vibrant line of focused acidity and a cool mineral infusion. Excellent. — 3 years ago
