Garagiste selection. $29.76. Nice smooth tannins. Classic Piedmont. — 3 days ago
Last bottle of this incredible private label value from Garagiste. Apparently made by Icardi (see cork), this is still not quite at its apogee, but it’s getting close. Classic Barolo nose features clean gravel, ripe macerated cherries, fragrant leather, rose petal, and spice. Mouthfilling flavors of dark cherry, old barrel, and the finish goes savory/minerally as it progresses. Tannin is still abundant and a little puckery at the close, but food will tamp that down. — 13 days ago
A pleasure to have thx to the garagiste — 3 months ago
Date drank: July 2020
Purchased from: Garagiste
Distributor/Importer: Free Run
Notes: so so good. Had this twice, first with seafood mussels and another with frittata. Both times is was so easy. Clean dry but pleasantly fruity. Only critique is that I would have wanted a bit more acid to even it out. But it was so glou glou. I wouldn’t complain. — 4 months ago
Garagiste selection. $19.96. A little earthy. Still great value. — 4 months ago
My rating is a placeholder. I will update with continued aeration.
I justified opening this when I looked at WE vintage chart; which said ready..deep down I knew better but curiosity..well you know!
On the nose blueberries; not willing to divulge!
This wine is going to be gorgeous with time..big blueberries, blackberries, dark chocolate, espresso, cedar, graphite black tea! So many great great elements! Characteristics are softly presenting! It just needs to unwind big time! Like smelling Grandma's freshly baked chocolate chip cookies; you just don't get to take a bite YET! — 2 months ago
Dry but no where near puckering. Pleasant. Young but isn’t sharp. Both my wife and I were able to enjoy it together. Purchased Garagiste. Would purchase again. — 4 months ago
