Not easy to rate. Not the typical CFE. Smells right, tasty right, but then it lacks the long lasting reserve Riesling aroma. It was perfect and more like a 9.3 with food. Drinking it solo it was closer to 9.0 and that only because I only paid $42 for a bottle and that seemed a decent QPR. — 4 days ago
@Delectable Wine this is the Rouge Vielles Vignes. A lovely btl. On the nose: wild strawberry, spiced, sweet red fruit, soft bubble gum. On the palate: good acidity, spiced red fruit, a little thinner than I would like, but good juiciness, lovely savoriness; leather, dried fruit. On the finish, very soft, attenuated tannin. The aromatics are phenomenal... — a month ago

My first time with this vntg. More spatlese on the nose than GG: lovely guava and mango, a touch of saffron, lychee, so tropical and dense. On the palate: good acidity and density: sour apple, lemon, here we get the GG extract and density. This intensifies in the mouth and has considerable density on the finish. Yum. Less well-delineated than '15 forward, and, unsurprisingly, showing more signs of age. — 3 days ago
