Wonderful amber color. A big nose of corn and caramel. Also vanilla and oak. Oily palate with caramel and cinnamon. Some honey and citrus notes. Lingering warming finish. Very nice. — 5 years ago
@Delectable Wine this is the Balcones Mirador Single Malt Whisky. Could not find it in the system.
The marathon of liquor continues! This is a lighter whisky with a hint of oak barrel on the nose. Pours almost a lighter amber. Honeysuckle notes up front. Sweet influence. This starts off with a bit of a bite. A little unidimensional. Good oaky character to it. Finishes with a really nice pleasant pine resin note. Really intriguing. The finish alone made up the difference between the 9.0 I was GOING to rate this, and the 9.2 I ultimately rated this. — 5 years ago
Similar notes. Would buy again at $70, not at $110. — 5 years ago

Just about as Texas as any beer could be. Imperial stout from Martin House Brewing Company, aged 6 months in Witherspoon Distillery Bourbon Barrels from Lewisville, TX, and brewed from a variety of 8 specialty hops and Columbus hops. Pours like the blood coursing through the veins of Acheron - dark black, and with the consistency of tar. This is some tasty stuff! Sadly, last of the two cans in my allocation! — 7 years ago

It’s got a nice burn that I like in a whiskey, Raw—but without the medicine taste you’d often get by not aging it long in wood. — 6 months ago
