I drink a lot of White Rhone and that’s been one of my favorite things about the past 9+ years of Fass Selections. I didn’t before and now I realize that I have a passion for them. Nice to find a new wine category late in your wine drinking life one loves. Anyway this is beautiful. Nose is ripe yellow fruits, beeswax, gorgeous compactness and minerals. It’s really refined as well. Palate is ripe, unctuous and juicy but I’ll admit off the bat it’s showing it’s alcohol but it will integrate. It’s only 13% but that’s why you let white Rhone breathe. For the alcohol to integrate. Luscious and juicy. Deep but I’ll be back for when it’s integrated. It’s a solid 9.0 now but the finish, texture and depth suggest this will be wonderful in an hour.
9.0 to 9.2. Alcohol almost fully integrated in 10 minutes. Custardy now. Great length and terrific minerals. — a month ago
First night lees impressive than two days later in Eto. First blush of purple color and bright red fruits, sour cherries, more new world than old but later it flipped. Excellent with grilled meats in either case. Interesting. — 3 months ago
@Delectable Wine actually from Anne et Jean Francois Ganevat
Still exceptionally good
Citrussy apple in front and many shades following, the wine is also super young
Amazing Spring aperitif with view from home top terrace
Nonetheless the world is upside-down life isn't treating me too bad
Cheers!! — 2 months ago
Muted stage but unfurled over the evening. Opulence tempered by minerality. Free of flab. Alcohol well-integrated. Tropical fruits, marzipan. Florals. Also - condrieu pairs amazingly with BBQ sauce (enjoyed with sweetbreads) 😍 @Lyle Fass — 3 months ago
