Super fun tasting through a selection of Dirty and Rowdy’s. While there wasn’t a bad bottle in this lineup, the 2017 Enz was lights out... Was a treat having the winemaker Hardy Wallace join us via Zoom. What we expected to be a 30min or so zoom call to walk us through the lineup turned into 2 hours of learning about the various vineyards Hardy works with and diving into his philosophy on wine. Not corked this time! Really pretty wine. Savory dark red fruit. Plush tannins and relatively low acidity.

The main reason I’m scoring lower is because I had Ridge Mataro ($42) and Dirty and Rowdy Mourvèdre ($26) this week and they were both equally interesting for far less than $70. — a year ago
