The nose is intense, intense, ripe cherry, almond, black tea, soy sauce, this is complex and inviting. The palate is acid driven, showing some young and lively tannins, but it's rich, broad, with some matter on the side, cherries and black tea notes, a bowl of a mid palate with that tannic effect, and a long tannic finish with cherry, a tiny salty, savoury note, some black tea and a bit of a zing thzt lasts for a good minute. Darkly floral, the 2022 Rosso di Montalcino opens with a blend of grilled herbs, exotic spices and steeped plums. It's a racy and fruit-forward effort with masses of ripe red and blue fruits swirling across a lively acidity stream.
