En Mag from @Mike R so much good stuffing. I prefer these Saxum JBs with ample bottle age and this was exemplary at 11 years. Roasted game meats, white pepper (on the bouquet and on the palate) and kirsch. Full bodied with finesse. I believe this is more than 50% Grenache. Big props. — 5 years ago
Strong tannins says M; just ok says R, good for pasta night

4 yrs in & oak, 6 yrs bottle age
No LdH rose between 00 and 2008
DAY 1
That color….
👃cranberry, melon, orange blossom, minerals, smoke
👅Citrus, but savory. Salty, smoke, hints of cellar and tea. Unreal complexity. Crisp acidity. Every sip is unique
Slow Decanted the remnants in my refrigerator
DAY 11
Just let this breathe and warm. Then fireworks. It's everchanging. Even more dynamic on day 11 after the slow decant. Red and citrus fruit, florals, almonds, flowers, smoke, hard candy…any tasting note is a snapshot
If you drink this, don't rush the experience

This 6 year old Tondonia Blanco bottled in the early 70s is absolutely stunning. Better than any of the vintages I’ve had. I know traditionally some Spanish producers put a lot of effort into their NV blends (think Vega Sicilia for example) but this was still far better than expected. Glad I’ve got 11 bottles left. It’s complex as hell and has serious acidity but it’s the length that really stands out. It. Never. Ends. — 5 years ago
Outstanding. Unapologetically traditional. Smoother with 11 years of age, but not declining. Several layers to it, at turns distinct fruit, leather and some dust on the finish. Good rec by Lower Falls Wine Shop. — 2 years ago
Disgorged 11/16/17. @Ron R I was feeling your vibe. This was a zestful bottle with wonderful flavors and scents of apple, pear and red fruit. Is it possible to be youthfully mature? Was a wonderful accompaniment to lemon and date chicken. Successfully demonstrated the versatility of champagne. — 2 years ago
Für 11 EUR ein Schnäppchen, nur geringfügig weniger Körper als der 2006. — 6 years ago
"Odedi"
#AgedWineTuesday.
When in Rioja, drink Rioja.
Reddish in color with a wide reddish rim.
Nose of red fruits with earth and mildew notes.
Medium plus in body with medium acidity.
Dry on the palate with nice complexity and mouthfeel. Elegant and restrained.
On the palate red fruits with earth, light wood, spices, coffee, dark chocolates, tobacco leaf, herbs, light wet leaves and peppercorn.
Medium plus on the finish with fine grained tannins and tangy raspberries.
This recent release of this Rioja Reserva is drinking very nicely now.
A good quality wine. Easy drinking, and a good food wine that I paired with dried meats and crackers.
This 11 year old feels so very young still, and will continue to age nicely in the next 25 years.
Needs time to open up properly, but good right out of the bottle too.
A blend of 70% Tempranillo with Garnacha, Graciano and Mazuelo. Aged for 6 years in used American oak barrels.
13% alcohol by volume.
92 points.
