Medium Ruby with aromas of rich red/black fruits and spice, 16 months in 25% new French oak. On the palate raspberry, cherry & black currant flavors with notes of oak. On the palate flavors of blackberry and cherry with cacao, vanilla and tobacco spice. Fine tannins, long finish, well balanced, ending with oak, juicy fruit and earthy mineral tones. Tenuta dell’ Ornellia’s entry level offering. Blend of Merlot (50%), Sangiovese (30%) and Cabernet Sauvignon (20%). Dark ruby/purple color. Ripe red fruit aromas with hints of tobacco, purple flowers, spices, crushed stones and garrigue. Ripe strawberry, cherry and red currant on the creamy pallet with notes of spices, vanilla, orange zest and cedar. Juicy and luscious. Just a baby, (nicely balanced) but there is a lot to like here.
