Hint of honey… great balance to that. Like a southern Alsatian Pinot gris. — 4 months ago

Terre di Giumara Inzolia 2018

Nice Sicilian insolia. Lovely citrus on the palate. 2018 vintage in August 2020. Pared well with lasagna. Great wine to sip in summer. — 4 years ago

Naturalmente Terre Siciliane Perricone

Fresh cherry, bordering on sweet start, but balanced finish brings it back to the old world. I liked it for a simple sipping while I cook and get some work done. Also bittersweet for the memories this wine evokes. 🥀 miss you. — 3 months ago

Terre di Giumara Frappato Nerello Mascalese Blend

Like a little brother to etna rosso. A fun little fruity blend with a finish that can be taken seriously. I’m a huge fan. — 4 years ago

Naturalmente Bio Sicilia Nero d'Avola 2018

First wintery Sunday with depressing cold drizzle. My response: home cooked Pasta Fagiole with soft Japanese yeast bread with lots of butter. What a wonderful comfort food match. The Etna Nero d’avola is young, juicy, and fruit-forward. Cassis, Boysenberry, and bright citrus notes. Medium weight, nice viscosity, and enough acidity to stand up to the tomato’s and good olive oil drizzle. Touch of green stems actually balances the fruit. Nice long finish and makes me consider picking up a few more for rustic pizza/pasta. — 4 years ago
