We had the 2011 Vintage on 11/25~26. A terrific Burgundian wine with cherry and mushroom. Tannins all smoothed out. Had this 6 years ago and thought it was a dud. Patience is rewarded — 2 years ago
All the wine sales recommended don’t bury this brand. But I purchased before, open it up, nice fragrance . Drinking ok for this Chambertin. — 3 years ago
I’m at a 92+ here. 53% Chardonnay/ 30% Pinot Noir/ 17% Pinot Meunier aged four years in fine lees and finished with a 0.75 grams per liter dosage. Disgorged Dec 2021.
Always been a fan of Jacquesson champagnes, but these are getting to a price where I’m not sure the value is there for me much longer (not sure if it’s due to the Chiquet brothers selling the brand a few years ago).
The 745 series is based on the challenging 2017 vintage. Even with the near zero dosage, there is good depth and complexity here from a fruit standpoint (not austere for austere sake). Aromatically, it’s bright with lemon zest, pear, ginger and honey-dipped apple. Benefitted from a bit of air time in the bottle and not serving too cold…apple turns to a faint spiced cider profile, with lemon cream, sea salt, hint of yeast, and a classical chalky-limestone finish. — a month ago
Expressive bouquet: flowers, strawberry, chocolate, fig, animal farm, mushrooms, wet wool and vanilla. Well balanced, good acidity, evolving taste. Flavours of milk chocolate with wild strawberry and sweet tobacco in the finish. Quaffable wine with persistent aftertaste. Great wine.

Plum, blackberry and black cherry fruit, with minerality, graphite, some meaty notes and spice. — 2 years ago
Delish at Bin 26! Great summer wine. — 3 years ago
I miss the tastings with this semi-confinement we are still in and stole the idea of @Benoit Duhamel here, so we made one at home with my son and my wife who are both wine fanatics as I am too. We chose 6 red Burgundies Villages 2017, 3 Côtes de Beaune and 3 Côte de Nuits and we tasted these blind, each of us giving ranks and points for each wines. Tasting blind usually doesn’t lie and it can bring numerous surprises which it did in that case. All wines were fo a good level here, no bad wines and all were fun and good indiviually but the results were pretty clear cut in terms of the Côte de Beaune winning this battle.
1- Chassagne-Montrachet villages 2017 Jean-Claude Ramonet 32 pts
2- Volnay Vieilles Vignes 2017, Henri DeLaGrange 28 pts
3- Auxey-Duresses Très Vieilles Vignes 2017, Alain Gras 26 pts
4- Chambolle-Musigny Les Véroilles 2017, Bruno Clair 20 pts
5- Gevrey-Chambertin 2017, Lucien Boillot 12 pts
6- Gevrey-Chambertin 2017 Les Évocelles, Louis Boillot 8 pts
DelaGrange: spices and a touch animal too on the nose. Vivid acidity with a nice medium bodied structure, very balanced, good length and delicious finish. My number 3. 90-91
1- Chassagne-Montrachet villages 2017 Jean-Claude Ramonet 32 pts
2- Volnay Vieilles Vignes 2017, Henri DeLaGrange 28 pts
3- Auxey-Duresses Très Vieilles Vignes 2017, Alain Gras 26 pts
4- Chambolle-Musigny Les Véroilles 2017, Bruno Clair 20 pts
5- Gevrey-Chambertin 2017, Lucien Boillot 12 pts
Mon no 3 personnellement. 90-91 — 3 years ago

This is a Scotch Malt Whiskey bottle. I think it hides the 51.5% well but make no mistake the finish is strong and long. All down the middle for me and none in the cheeks. Flavor is sweet, light smoke and hidden a bit by the alcohol. I don’t really buy the title but I think this brand often does things with oysters especially at the Whiskey of the World event if I am remembering correctly. Cask No. 42.56
Sipping whisky from a shell
Highland, Island
A subtle nose of cinnamon buns, Turkish delight, muscle rub and ‘a smouldering cigar in an artist’s studio’ (tobacco leaf and linseed oil). The palate had a waxy texture and flavours of dark cherries, waxed sweets (e.g. rhubarb rock), walnut oil, tobacco and raisins soaked in cognac. A drop of water shifted the nose towards sharp fruits (stewed rhubarb and lemon squeezed over fish cooked on a beach barbeque). The reduced palate had rum and raisin ice cream, starfruit and balsamic glaze. There was only the most delicate wisp of smoke but lots of coastal suggestions – ‘like sipping whisky from an oyster shell’.
