From Mag. An absolute wow of a bottle. The nose is crazy intense, lucid and profound. Dark plum fruit with a whiff of band aid, iron, black pepper, a tangy meatiness. Loads of delicate floral notes floating around, but a soulful and pristine bottle. As fresh as an early 2000’s bottle but so much age and precision going on. Wonderful. Just spectacular. — 20 days ago
Medium deep garnet core with slightly wider terracotta rim . Quite exuberant nose , more dark fruits than the Barton , spicy , cedar notes , touch of funk , swimming pool note also . On the palate quite spicy more intense black fruits , cassis , sous bois , coffee , saline , mineral tinged sea spray notes . Balanced acidity and quite rounded but noticeable tannin . Long and denser on the finish than the Barton . Showing well now but can go another 10 years no problem — 23 days ago

Another great btl from this vintage showing dark fruits, iron, black olive, pepper, smoked meat, glycerin, dried herbs, spice & violets. This will age effortlessly the next 20 years. — a month ago
I started my visit to Opus one with this 2017 vintage.
On nose its peppery, spices, some tobacco, leather, Dried sweet fruit, Black Cherries
On palate, its so elegant. The Acidity and Tannins, its covers your mouthfeel yet sharp and warm Napa Style carbenet. Its Long, with well balanced Intensity. Surprised how 2017 can deliver this performance. CHEERS! — 25 days ago

Oh yeah this is the stuff. Minerally, herby, leather/tobacco blackberry jam nose. Assertive but not aggressive dark fruits and barrel tannin on the palate. You can't stop sipping it. Would absolutely drink again. — 6 days ago
