Dark ruby color with purple highlights. Aromas of bramble berries, purple flowers and fresh herbs. Red raspberry, red currant and red cherry flavors dominate the palate with a hint of blueberry, roasted nuts and wet soil. Nice savory finish. Very little tannin and a nice amount of acidity. — a month ago
Barbera d’Asti achieved DOCG status in 2008. Warm vibrant Ruby color with a bouquet of berry fruit aromas and sweet perfumed herb spice. On the palate flavors of plum, cherry and blackberry with pepper and herbs, good structure, balanced with savory acidity and soft tannins. Medium+ finish ending with juicy fruit. Exceptional! Great Value! — 2 months ago
Nicely structured. Great with pizza and bolognese, of course! — 12 hours ago
Mar 2024: Singing after half an hour decanting, nice as always — 2 years ago
Pale garnet in color; cherries, strawberries, and dried leaves on the nose; high acidity; medium minus tannins; tastes like pomegranates, dried flowers, and crushed gravel with a long finish. Nellie doesn't Iike it, but really like this wine. It reminds me of Pinot Noir. Light fruity and earthy. — 4 days ago
Just a hint of effervescence when first opened. It’s light and bright without much acidity, but much more flavorful than Sancerre or Chenin Blanc, and without too much citrus. Slight sweetness, like a honey crisp apple.
We had it with Argentine shrimp cooked in butter and red pepper and it was was heavenly. — 2 months ago
