Les Mourillons St. Gervais Côtes du Rhône Villages Syrah 2017

This is drinking very well right now. Syrah based, smooth, silky, medium bodied, purple red color...

Food friendly...

Having trouble coming up with good descriptions, but it is good.

Good restaurant too.

Domaine Anne Gros

Cuvée Marine Bourgogne Hautes Côtes de Nuits Chardonnay 2009

Prior notes still apply, love this bottle; Years in the tank still!

Nose has never ending crushing of flint/granite, warm lemon curd, salted yellow apple slice, cool Asian pear and old, crystalline cheddar.
Palate has ripe pineapple, over-ripe yellow apple, moist chalk/limestone, dried coconut shreds, faint butter notes and table salt, with medium acidity.

A great wine, slow oxidation for 2H then decanted 1H, so many years in front of this amazing bottle. Drink this 2026-2030 from proper storage.

Cuvée Anne Willamette Valley Chardonnay 2018

Tried to six months ago and it was too soon. Now just starting to come into its prime - could easily cellar it for a couple more years. — a month ago

Agreed. They make nice stuff. Worthy of purchasing/consuming if you can lay off it for an extra 6 months-1 year from when you want to hit it. Really well-made.

La Croix des Batailles Gamay

Brilliant translucent & bright ruby in colour.
Fresh, lively & slightly funky.
Tart cherry, cranberry, but also some earthy character & rocky minerality. So vibrant. So joyful.
Brilliantly drinkable, juicy and driven by racy cherry acidity + a fine tanninc frame. Light yet with some grip and loads of personality. Purity, depth, beautiful tension.
Sooo good!
