Served with wild Alaskan King Salmon caught with my buddies last month, this shows the diverse aromas of redfruits, wild herbs and floral notes that have always characterized this vineyard, lovely redfruit, modest structure, drinking super well tonight, kudos to Mark Vlossak!!! — 9 months ago
This Port-style wine is made from 100% Muscadine grapes, but the winemaker says they were not Alaska-grown. The wholesaler which provided the juice to him could not pinpoint where they were grown. The Muscadine grape is fairly popular in the humid southeastern states.
I’ve had Muscadine wine before - from Alabama - and it was less than spectacular. This wine is actually pretty good. The nose is huge with strawberry and a mercifully faint whiff of Muscadine. The palate is close to great. Alcohol at 17% abv keeps things lively, while the earthy red fruit flavor hits a nice savory note.

2015. Big “port-like” dark fruits. Went great with a meaty spaghetti dinner on a seasonable first day of spring in the Alaskan interior! Corked up the remaining half a bottle and was worried it might get even more porty the next day, but it was exactly the opposite as it gained some balance and more complex finish. Rating slightly higher for second day. — a month ago
Alaskan halibut, potato gnocchi, fiddlehead ferns, and bacon lardons. — a year ago
Light liquid yellow in the glass… explosive first sip. Acid, weight, bright lemon zest, brioche, tart key lime. Long, chewy, stemmy finish lasts at least 30 seconds. Wonderful mid-summer food wine that grows in gravitas and grip as it warms…nice foil to roast Alaskan halibut with heirloom tomato/ricotta topper. Not your average simple Italian white. — 8 months ago
This is top notch Provence wine. All the exotic spices of Grenache but with a touch of wilderness as other tasters noted. Dense and concentrated but great minerality and freshness. This is fantastic for the price point but really deserves 8 to 10 years in bottle so you can have it at its best. Great stuff !! — 3 years ago
Loved it with line caught Alaskan rock fish. — 5 years ago

Forgot this wine, no indication of vintage except on the cork! A flashy earthy dark fruited presentation straight out of some wilderness, firm almost woodsy palate and good finish. Not at all what I would have thought of as Gamay. Looked like it didn’t present well several years ago. Age difference? — 13 days ago
