So so good. Beautiful wine. — 3 years ago
The nicest Classico Superiore we’ve had. And with a slight chill along burgers, yum. Has a great nose of muddy black cherries, trees, leafy decay, as it warms, it’s pronounced deep red.
On the palate, bright acidity up front with a tactile slight roughness, pomegranates and cherries, delicious balance.
These bottles don’t disappoint.

Powerful, and concentrated, marked sweetness; wide mouths with balanced tannins, well-integrated alcohol despite its 15 degrees. Deep nose with ripe fruits, and spices, raisins, prunes, fig confit. Orange blossoms, vanilla, chocolate, tobacco, underwood. Remanent finish, Intense wine. To drink in 5/10 years

It seems that sometimes the Italians - and Alto Piedmontese (a name we in the US bestowed on a them) let their hyper local regional alliances and squabbles - undermine their global marketability. Some in the older generation and most of new generation seem to get this, but the consortia continue to resist… — 9 months ago
Surprising, unusual - feeling like drinking wine as it would have been made 100 years ago. High acidity, sour fruit. — 3 years ago
