Dark, glass-clinging amethyst purple with opaque black core. Initially shy but inviting nose of blackberry, echoed on the medium full plate which adds notes of licorice, dark plum, and patent leather. Juicy, medium plus acidity enhancers the fruit and, paired with medium tannins, yields a very food-friendly Syrah that's a natural for steaks, roasts, or grilled fare. Try it with black olive pizza! Drink now through 2028. — 6 months ago
Mild pinot, hint of currant which I'm not a fan of. — a year ago
Bright gold color. Lovely aromas of white flowers, green apple and orange zest. Flavors of unripe peach, lemon, apple, asparagus and a distinct note of white pepper on the long and lingering finish. Bone dry with mouth watering acidity. Just a bit of CO2 right out of the bottle. Clean and crisp. So refreshing. Aging nicely. A taste of Spring! Thanks for sharing, Kase! — 2 months ago
Bold oak and cedar over black cherry and a touch of stone. Big and holds up well to food. — 7 months ago

This 13 year old Cabernet Sauvignon was amazing. Full body with plenty of fruit and so amazingly soft. We decanted this bottle about an hour before serving it with a nicely seasoned and grilled sirloin steak with a little soy sauce. Former V Madrone wine club member that is so glad to have waited many years to open this bottle. — 7 months ago

Nice with filet mignon after a long day of cross country skiing. Smooth but the flavors are not as complex as other riojas we have recently had. — a year ago
