Again. My favorite. Perfect with our steak. Nothing comes close. — a month ago
Consumed 05/2020. Received 03/2015. Was to consume between 2015 and the next 5 to 10 years. Purple ruby color, intense ripe aromas of black cherry, dark space and Cassis. Pallet has a rich mouth feel with flavors of Baked cherry, cinnamon, earth and leather. — 6 months ago
Love this. Got on sale at quarry wines. Not a real heavy cab. — a year ago
Today starts the long Labor Day weekend and I feel with the way the world has been turning that things have got to get better. Tonight I have opened the 2018 Coltilde Lagrand Saumur-Champigny Les Terrages Cabernet Franc. This is 100% Cabernet Franc and a lovely one at that, but I have always been partial to the Loire Valley Cab Franc.
On the nose there is black cherry, red plum, strawberry, raspberry, spice and crushed gravel.
On the palate I am getting tart cherry, raspberry, plum, gingerbread, green bell pepper and a bit of wet gravel.
This wine is medium to full bodied with medium + acidity and medium + fine sandy tannins that lead to a long pleasing red fruit finsh. Lets try to have a wonerful holiday weekend in the midst of such social unrest. Please be kind to one another, be safe and stay healthy. Nostrovia! 🍷🍷🍷🍷 — 3 months ago
So good! Nice wine for burgers but we are quarantined. — 7 months ago
As a pop & pour. On the nose freshly shaved wood chips, nuanced balsam fur, wafting asphalt fumes, rained-washed quarry, berry medley cake, and a pinch of menthol taking form. On the palate medium bodied, delicate mouthfeel. Ripe cherries, dried garden herbs, soaked saddle leather, chewed cigar residue. A delightful Zin with a promise of many future years of good drinking ahead of it. Right now it is enjoyable served at 55°F; should evolve nicely as the evening wears on. — 2 years ago
Coming from the old quarry behind the Perrieres premier cru area. Very aromatic nose of white fruit, some mint and a touch of oak it seems. The palate is round, rich, mineral and intense, yet with energy and a lot of precision of flavours, i am sure in a blind tasting that the friends would call a much higher level wine, at minimum a Meursault Villages, what a great success from Valentin Jobard.

A lovely, estate grown Cabernet Sauvignon. It has great balance of power, ripe fruit, alcohol, and tannin. Deep purple/ruby color. Rich aromas of cassis, blackberry, and toasty oak. Palate is full bodied with nicely balanced but firm, structured tannins. Flavors of cassis, blackberry, cocoa, and baking spices continue with a rich, long finish — 2 years ago
