2015 vintage. This estate is owned these days by Grands Millésimes de France (also owner of Beychevelle), 50/50 owned by the big French Castel group and the Japanese Suntory. A blend of 50% Cabernet Sauvignon, 47% Merlot and 3% Petit Verdot. Flirting with overripeness, but still with just enough acidity to keep the balance, this is a seductive crowdpleaser that lacks a bit of complexity. Abv. 14%. — 2 years ago
A hint of Murcott mandarin, a touch of white pepper, caramel and cinnamon. Go with the 12 yr if available. The price is shocking! — 3 years ago
I like umeshu, but usually it is a little too cloyingly sweet for me. I like Choya's black sugar one.... This umeshu is fantastic. Probably my new favorite. It isn't as sweet, and the whiskey flavor creeps in after the plum starts to fade. Oishii! — 2 years ago
Right down the middle between Scotch & Bourbon. I’ve had this sitting for at least 5 years unopened. Not bad for the price. Pain killer at midnight 🤷🏼♂️
I really didn’t feel like Scotch, but the only bourbons 🥃 I have left are collectables so I took a chance on this & was pleasantly surprised. — 6 months ago
Great tasting with little heat and no aftertaste. Absolutely smooth, no ice needed. — 3 years ago
