Bright ruby-red. Inky aromas of blackberry, cassis, licorice, bitter chocolate and graphite. Dense, minerally, sweet and deep, with inky black fruit flavors dominating in the early going. Finishes with broad but surprisingly suave tannins and excellent length. Sweeter than the 2018 version and likely to give pleasure earlier. Here the tannins are plusher and riper but the finish shows a bit of alcoholic warmth (this is the only one of these reds that admits to 15% on the label). Previous bottles were bomb but this one tasted kind of sour for some reason — 12 days ago
Decanted 3 hours. Gorgeous golden ruby red color. Cassis with floral notes on the nose. Dense in the mouth. Deep blackberry, black cherry, licorice, vanilla, oak beautiful flavors. Very young, and should age nicely. Nice long finish. — a day ago
Gorgeous jammy syrah. So much acidity for close to 15% abv lots of new oak creates a chocolate rich berry and subtle olive nose with a long finish and silky palate. Decanting for 2 hours now. Well done Micheal 👌 — 12 days ago
My favorite Chenin to date. Funky, astringent(in a good way), honey, beeswax, orchard fruit, petrol, minerals, well integrated acidity.
Such a fun wine to have with spicy food. I've ordered 3 more😅 — 4 days ago
